Saikiran Kotaru

Sai is a postdoctoral researcher in the Tabor Group, where he works on flow battery optimization and chemical reactivity projects. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from IIT Bombay in 2018 and his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Anna Krylov. His doctoral research focused on the electronic structure of single-molecule magnets and the development of computational methods implemented in the Q-Chem software package. He subsequently held postdoctoral appointments at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research and Emory University.

Originally from Yelamanchili, India, Sai enjoys playing chess, with a peak Chess.com rating of around 1950, as well as playing the drums and tennis.
